Our First Day: A New Beginning at The Younity School
Our First Day: A New Beginning at The Younity School
On July 8th, The Younity School opened its doors for the first time, marking the beginning of an exciting journey for our enthusiastic but nervous foundation students, their families, and our new staff team.
The atmosphere was a blend of nerves, excitement and anticipation as students, many of whom had been disengaged from school for sometime, arrived in their uniforms, ready to give learning another go. The morning started with breakfast, introductions, and a tour of our beautiful site at Pitt Road. Then it was off to class as everyone began to settle into their new routines, showing remarkable resilience and spirit.
As the clock struck 2:30, a sense of accomplishment filled the air. Though tired, students left with smiles, having taken the first step in their new educational journey. Every day since has been an incredible journey, bringing its own set of challenges and triumphs. By home time, everyone is exhausted but happy, a sign of a day well spent. And each morning, we all turn up again, ready to give our best—a true test of success and dedication.
Principal David McKay shared his thoughts: "Seeing our students walk through the doors on the first day was a proud moment for all of us. Their courage and enthusiasm set the tone for a fantastic start."
